Embroidered Scrubs: Branding Your Team the Right Way

What embroidery actually adds
Instant recognition. A practice name or logo on a chest pocket tells anyone looking that this person is part of a specific, established team — not just wearing generic workwear.
A sense of belonging. For staff, a uniform with their name or their practice's branding on it tends to feel more like a professional identity than a generic outfit — small, but it matters for morale.
Consistency across a growing team. As you add staff, embroidery keeps everyone visually aligned with the same branding, no matter when they joined.
What to think about before you order
- Logo size and detail — very fine detail can lose clarity at small embroidery sizes; a simplified version of your logo often reads more clearly on fabric than your full, detailed version
- Placement — chest (left side) is the standard, most legible placement; some practices also add a name on the opposite side
- Thread colour contrast — make sure your chosen thread colour actually stands out against your scrub colour, not just in theory but in person
- Individual names vs. practice name only — decide whether you want staff names individually embroidered (more personal, but means reordering if staff change) or just your practice/brand name (more flexible for turnover)
